This is a audio streaming podcast on youtube by the Futuremakers of oxford university, the podcast is about climate change and climate disasters that could occur within the next 12 years. the podcast starts off with a strong formal subject about the 2018 report on global warming of 1.5 sea and the IPCC report on having only 12 years to revers climate change. the guests on the podcast are Pr. Miles Alan the coordinator of the IPCC, Pr. Hellen Johnson from oxfords earth department who researches ocean circulation and its role in climate change and Dr James Painter from the roiters institute from oxford who studies climate change in online and offline media.

The podcast is based loads on the political and scientific aspect of climate and and global worming and the different pacts and acts the governments signed to tackle climate change also the podcast is professional as the professors and doctors talk about loads of scientific and national aspects of climate change.

The codes and convections of the podcast are the title of the podcast information about which season and episode the viewer is streaming, the writing on the screen is big and white so the listener knows what episode and topic they are watching. the microphone on the screen of the podcast stream indicates that the stream video is a voice over podcast. the sound wave shows you the conversation waves between the guests on the podcast to show the communication and debates of the podcasts topic between them. the back ground of the podcast has different design of building and houses and land marks which suggests that the podcasts is also hinting in about the areas we humans live in.

The colours of the podcast are really basic and standing out so the audience can read the title clear and because the subjects on the podcast are really political based and serious the colours are formal. the podcast also has slow low key up lifting instrumental music for the intro to get the listener ready and focused to listen to the serious topics the are addressed in the podcast.

this is a print advert for global warming, the advert is metaphorical by showing a polar bear living in the streets and back alleys which means the bear is homeless due to loss of natural habitat because of climate change. the advert shows the bear is alone disorientated and fighting for survival on the city streets because of losing its home (antarctic) which results to animals migrating to different parts of the world to find new habitat and evolve but its not going to plan.

the codes and conventions for this print advert are the dark dull colours of the area that the bear is sitting in, its dark, dirty, wet and it looks like a really unhealthy and toxic place. the bear is used to show that global worming is making animals migrate to different habitats and really struggle to survive in them because of global worming. the dull colours indicate the pollution in the world and how toxic it is for wildlife and how harmful for destruction of natural habitat also its shows that animals need to live in polluted areas because of humans, also the colour choice is so dark and dull to give you feel a aura of toxicity that the animal needs to live in.

the advert focuses on the imagery rather than the text to show the audience the real effect of global warming and climate change and what it does to animals and their habitat including us humans. the advert has very little text on, just enough so the audience know who made the advert, the adverts purpose and small instructions on how to help and act now. the advert uses small but eye catching sentences/ slogans to grab the audiences attention but not to bore and distract them from the harsh reality imagery on the print add.
