Final piece and evaluation
final piece
this is my final piece, it is a print advert that is plain and simple it shows a face of a angry polar bear because his home and more of his natural habitat is getting destroyed due to global warming/ climate change because of human activity and ignorance.
the print ad shows the angry bears face with the world on fire in the eye on the left this shows that the way we humans are going, we are destroying our own planet and the wildlife environment, on the right aye of the polar bear is a another polar bear struggling for survival on melting ice while being worn out and in distress because of constant loss of natural habitat because of global warming and increasing human population and activity. the title (save the world) is short and simple but also a formal instruction to catch the audience eye and tell them we need to act now to save our plant, ourselves and the wild life on it before the climate change is irreversible.
The codes and conventions for this print advert are the dull colours in the advert for example the black fades on each side of the polar bears face it shows that the bear is trapped in his environment and the environment getting smaller and smaller resulting to the polar bear having less space to live and thrive which results to the picture in the right eye of a polar bear struggling for survival on a small block of ice. the polar bear is looking directly at the audience to insist that its asking for help to survive and help to save his environment and also to make the audience feel empathy and sadness knowing that the animal is struggling due to human action and tries to persuade the audience to help and contribute. the short sentence with a instruction at the bottom left corner might seem as sarcasm but actually its said in the most plain and real way there is and its a formal instruction how to contribute to the reduction of carbon dioxide also its straight forward and not sugar coded to give the audience a wake up call that human comfort and luxuries have a big and negative impact on the world of nature.
tis advert was made for audiences that understand climate change but need persuading to take actions against it to prevent the destruction of future human and wild life generations, the advert is plain and simple to get the clear but toxic message across and to insist that we humans as one need to take action now to save our home and the life on it.
